Il Melograno Historical Folk Group was officially established on 7/8/2015 and is the result
participation and collaboration in the many events organized a bit everywhere in the territory
of the Reggiano Apennines, to commemorate the nine hundredth anniversary of the death of Matilde di Canossa.
And this is the reason for the name "Il Melograno", the fruit that, in the recurring historical iconography,
symbolized the Grand Countess.
The founders are united by the great love for their mountain territory, so rich in history and
of culture, so eager to tell about himself and to revive the ancient splendors.
